Having studied for an animal-based Batchelor of Science (BSc) degree at Plymouth University, I moved on to a teaching role within the Police Service, specialising in Animal Law.
I made the decision to follow my dream of working with dogs and having initially passed my City and Guilds Dog Grooming exams in 1993. I was approached by a local Further Education Establishment to teach one of their courses. This, I enjoyed so much, that I decided to open my own grooming school, paying particular attention to a high ratio of teacher/students. I currently hold the Level 3 City and Guilds Diploma in Dog Grooming and am also a current holder of an Advanced Certificate in Canine First Aid.
I currently own five Irish Terriers and have made one up to a Champion. My passion is in animal rescue and I own a rescue Deerhound. I am an active member of

I’ve been working at Classic Canine Cuts since 2014.
I love dogs and owning five Yorkshire Terriers myself, I decided this was the path for me. I started my grooming career by successfully completing and Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship at Classic Canine Cuts in October 2016.
I then went on to become the Washroom Manageress, ensuring that all the dogs were prepared correctly, prior to their groom. I then progressed further by completing my level 3 City and Guilds Diploma in July 2017. I have been teaching for 3 years and have recently gained my Canine Advanced First Aid Certificate.
I have a particular interest in Asian Fusion grooming which is my style for my two Yorkies, Dottie and Betty. I am particularly fascinated by this style as it is very different and is becoming increasingly popular.

Looking back I can say I have always wanted to be a dog groomer. I am very passionate about animals and own an Irish Terrier. I started working for Claire in Classic Canine Cuts fourteen years ago!
During this time I have achieved qualifications in OCN Animal Care, an Animal Care Foundation Modern Apprenticeship including NVQ Level 1 & 2. I have also completed my level 3 City and Guilds Diploma in Dog Grooming and have gained my Canine First Aid Certificate. I am proud of my continued professional development, throughout my career at Classic Canine Cuts.
I thoroughly enjoy dog grooming, especially scissoring many different breeds such as Poodles, Bedlington Terriers, Kerry Blue’s and

I joined Classic Canine Cuts in 2015 and work in the washroom ensuring the dogs are bathed and dried ready for their groom.
I have an NVQ level 1 in Animal Care and am trained in Animal First Aid. My favourite breeds are Huskies of which I own one called Nikita, though I do like large breeds.
